Description of Exhibits:

Small museum in a historic 1937 hangar (moved piece by piece from Waukesha, WI airport) dedicated to early aviation and automotive development and progress. Many exhibits on loan, so collection changes frequently. Prototype (S/N 1) of 1931 Corben Baby Ace restored and on display. Aviation and automotive artifacts from early part of 20th century. Display engines, research library. Vintage cars (20's and 30's Model T, A, and a gorgeous Phaeton there right now). Many model military airplanes, photos, artifacts from early days of aviation and automotive history. Youth Academy program for young people. Ongoing auto and airplane restoration projects on-site.

The Vintage Wings and Wheels Museum is located on the north side of the Poplar Grove Airport, Poplar Grove, Illinois. From the city of Belvidere, go north on Route 76 (Fairgrounds Road) approximately 4.5 miles, and turn right on Orth Road. Go half a mile, and the Museum is on the right. Flying in? Our FAA identifier is C77, and our Unicom frequency is 122.8. A paved taxiway connects Runway 12/30 with the Museum ramp.
